LAPD's license plate reader pilot program put on hold by City Council

Citing concerns about the potential misuse of automated license plate readers, the Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday to overrule the approval of a pilot program by Axon Enterprise that would attach the devices to streetlights around the city.
